About Our President / CEO
Mr. Konstantino Zaraliakos was born in 1956 in Southern Greece and arrived in Hamilton, Ontario in 1963. After finishing high school, he began working in the flooring industry with his uncles at Vartanian Rugs. In 1973 he started working as a floor installer at Alexanian Carpets until 1993. The flooring installations included ceramic, carpet, hardwood, laminate, vinyl and corlon. In 1993 Mr. Zaraliakos started a company called Colour Crete, again within the flooring industry. He installed cementitious cement, troweled it down, cut or stenciled patterns, coloured patterns and sealed with different epoxies. He was involved in this business until 2000 having developed 20 years of hands on flooring expertise.
Mr. Zaraliakos formed an International Building Company called “Tri-Star”. Mr. Zaraliakos and his team were building commercial buildings, hotels and residential units in all of Greece, Bulgaria, up in the Black Sea, Albania and all of the Republic of Macedonia. Tri-Star was also a distributor of ICF products in these countries.
Mr. Zaraliakos was involved in the building development industry. Some of his projects were home additions, including water diversion job for an existing home that was built near Lake Ontario. The home was saved from crumbling footage that was saturated in the water for 16 years. This project took 7 months to complete.
April 2008 – April 2011
Mr. Zaraliakos purchased a building at 909-911 Barton Street East, Hamilton, Ontario that is approximately 6000 square feet and opened a disaster recovery and restoration business to service the region and insurance industries.
May 2011 – Present
Tri-Star Disaster Recovery expanded it’s head office location to a 20,000 square foot facility which includes the following:
- In house ozonating facilities
- In house cleaning facilities
- In house showroom
- Lots of storage area for contents
